Hi all,

I'm a newbie so apologies if this is an old topic, I couldn't find an answer in the FAQ or by searching previous questions.

I have run a simulation with the box ticked to open the viewer but it says there is too much data to load and only shows the first part which is too soon to see the main functions, just initialisation. The pop-up box says:

"Warning: Too much data to parse. Stopping at time: 244960ps. If loading from a file, use 'From/To' to adjust the loaded time range."

However, pressing the load button doesn't give any options (like selecting a file), it just produces a box that says:

"To re-load waves from EDA Playground, you must re-run:
  • Go to the saved EDA Playground (if it exists)
  • Set the Open EPWave after run checkbox
  • Click Run"
There is no provision for entering 'From/To ' values around the 'run' checkbox so this seems to be catch 22.

Ho do I either load a file and enter the 'From/To' parameters or can I select a 'From/To' range in the playground before pressing 'run'?

Best regards
George

Please would you mind posting the URL of the playground that is causing you trouble, then I can have a look at it.

Hi George,

Unfortunately, you have set the permission of this page to private, so I can't see it. Please could you set it to public?

That's done now. I took a copy and cut it down to get round the problem.

The URL of the public version has changed to https://www.edaplayground.com/x/5BVT

Incidentally, although I set the simulation to "private", I've just notice that the saved waves are being made public by default, is that a bug or do I need to set a default somewhere?

Thanks for your help,
George

P.S. would it make any difference if I validated a company email, I haven't done that yet as it is a personal investigation.

Hi George,

Thank you. I'll have a look now. As for the waveform permissions - it's probably a bug. I'll have a look at that, too.

Thanks Matthew, I've replied similarly.
