my .vcd file is not opening

When I click the RUN button and select the open EPWave after running I am getting the message
Finding VCD file...
No *.vcd file found. EPWave will not open. Did you use '$dumpfile("dump.vcd"); $dumpvars;'

If u have written code in vhdl then the file should be saved as .vhdl, if in verilog then in .v file this fix can work
