Hey Everyone! So excited to be seeing you guys in a few weeks!
So I'm writting a somewhat silly but totally relavant post about
Peanut Butter. The Project provides meals for us and for lunch we can
make sandwiches, take fruit with us etc. There is usually abundance
of lunch meat, tuna, tomatos, cheese etc in our area but sometimes PB
is hard to come by and in the past, people have made special trips all
the way back to Quito to buy more PB for the group. Its also a bit
more expensive there than it is here (about $4), so a few years ago we
came up with a brilliant plan.
If you like PB, and think you might eat it, you might want to buy a
jar of it in the states and bring it down with you - I know you guys
have a lot to pack but it doesn't take up that much room (shove it in
a shoe if you have to). Then we just cycle through the PB in the
house and supplement that with jars from Quito or Cayambe when we find
them. It comes in handy for those late night PB and J sandwichs after
everything else is closed, or for those people who don't wake up early
enough to pounce on the one jar of PB left for sandwich making :)
Thanks and see you all soon!!!
