Hi All,

I think it's a great idea. I've having talking with people who can sponsor us with stationery. So if all goes well, when we start sending the books they will be accompanied by the stationery.

Good morning ladies and gents,

With the collections of study material we can take all matric subjects, if people have study guides they used last year then any of them will do. For when we buy, depending on funds raised we are focusing on Maths, Physics, Business Studies, Geography and Accounting books. There around 230 matrics in that school in total. With one Maths and Physics class , Commerce class, and History class.

Enjoy your day!

Regards,
Akholiwe

Hi All

First of all im sorry that I have not been paticipating for a while and thank you Sibongakonke Mama, Akholiwe Ngceba, Papama Magqwashe for opening the bank account. I also have to agree with starting small so that we can be able to identify the challeges before we go bigger. Also I have the same question as Linda bout the x-kits if it should be for all the subjects.

Kind regards

Good afternoon ladies and gents,

Yesterday four of us (Sibongakonke Mama, Akholiwe, Papama Magqwashe and Sambulo Mathebula) went to nedbank to open the bank account. It seems we need minutes from the club, noting that all the members agree on the trustees for the account. And that they will serve as signitories. No one of the signitories can withdraw money from the account without the presence of one of the other signitories there. So basically two people always have to be there.

I will not be one, Sambulo Mathebula, Papama Magqwashe and Singakonke Mama will be the signitories. If there is another person here in CT that is keen please let us know. It would be ideal to have 5 people so that we can always have two people for the withdrawls/request statements when needed. Please don't be shy to offer your services! So the account will be delayed for another week as they will be going in Sat morning again, early and with the minute s of this cyber meeting to prove that we are in agreement about our trustees.

I had an idea that I'd like to suggest to you guys, how do you guys feel if we, the members all contribute a minimum initial amount to kick start the fundraising. Eg minimum of R50 per person.  This will be a foundation on which we can build onto. Although the account is not in operation this week we can definitely start with spreading the word. Also if people would like to give x-kits(study guides), please collect. Perhaps we can post in bulk from wherever.  The account should be up and running next week, and people can deposit the money into the account from any nedbank branch. Account details will be advertised to you as soon as they are available. Remember guys the aim is end of Feb to have collected and/or bought the study material.

What are you thoughts on the above?
Please reply, PLEASE REPLY TO ALL!

Best regards,
Akholiwe Ngceba

i get ur arguement abt spreadng ourselves thin- maybe ke for now let
us get the big picture so that when we do start small we all know as
wel as our followerz /sponsors what we are striving for. Textbooks are
good-bt not without mentorship and people there to help them undastand
the books. We need a water-tight system where we are giving in the
hope that theyl learn and nabo eventualy give bk to ones behind
t hem...hence working were u are even if its doing paper work for those
in EC. Bank being just one thats cool. And i agree EC is the most
disadvantaged-let charity begin at home!
