This is the Virustotal Link to this --> So I installed the kompozer-0.8b3.de.win32.exe version (no warning in VirusTotal) in Crossover. After installing zipped the installed KompoZer 'windows' directory and test them with VirusTotal.

Don't get me wrong, I write in Italian then translate hoping to make you understand my thoughts better.
I put the instructions to compile kompozer, just for the simplicity of doing it. Just a terminal with copy paste commands and half an hour of time to get it all.
A separate chapter for the slitaz repositories.
I don't know the official tools like cook taz.... and company, nor do I care about them. So much so that relying on simple build commands I get everything I want anyway.
I know that on slitaz on principle they dissect in subpackages more or less everything. This is to limit the size to the bone. This can be logical in a live installation, but in ordinary installations I find it a superfluous overkill.
Here is the link of kompozer.tazpkg ready. I don't know if it will be 100% operational for your purposes, but from the few tests I've done, it opens and I don't detect any immediate crash.

Good day michaelbischof ;-)

Listed below are the previous attempts to install KompoZer. The newest attempt of Oct 3, 2018 is listed above.Trying to install KompoZer on 18.04.1 and 16.04.4 following suggestions from askUbuntu: First downloaded and extracted kompozer-0.8b3.lt.gcc4-2-686.tar.gz. from SourceForge. Now needed to know how to install the extracted files. Here are:Link Question Answer and the Unsucessful terminal output On how to install kompozer on ubuntu after downloadingHow to install kompozer on xubuntu after downloading1 Answer If you googled, you would have got this in first place. Any way here you go.

kompozer is a native snap package in all currently supported versions of Ubuntu. This snap package preserves the last available version of KompoZer from 2010, and allows KompoZer to be used on modern operating systems. KompoZer can be installed from the Software app or from the terminal with the following command:

Just like BlueGriffon, KompoZer is a wysiwyg HTML editor (they both originates from NVU) it's available for Windows, Linux and OS X BUT the latest stable version (0.7.10) dates 2007-08-30 and the latest development version (0.8b3) 2010-02-28... it's practically discontinued.

The only question remaining is, where do you find KompoZer? Well, it's a very simpleprogram, and it's essentially portable. You can indeed grab the portable edition from PortableApps, oreven grab your existing installation from a Windows machine, similar to what we did with Kerkythea. Inmy case, I had KompoZer 0.7.10 in a folder, and I simply copied it over to a Linux machine. You can trywith the 0.8b3 version, or anything that strikes your fancy.

You will need to have KompoZer. There are versions of KompoZer forWindows, Macintosh and Linux. Select the appropriate one for your system. Note that this tutorial deals with KompoZerversion 0.7.10, which was the latest stable version available at the time I wrote this. Do not usethe development version 0.8b3 (which seems to have been abandoned with no new versions since February 2010),since it will probably behave differently from my description here.

Create a new folder on your desktop. Call it "kompozer" (without the quotes).Double-click the zip file you downloaded. A window will open. Drag the files in that window to the folder that you have created earlier. Then go to that new folder, and click the right mouse button on the file kompozer.exe. Click the "Send To" menu item in the menu that pops up.Next, click the "Desktop (create shortcut)" menu item. A shortcut to KompoZer will be placed on your desktop. To run KompoZer, all you have todo is to double-click this shortcut.

If you cannot find any file called "kompozer.exe", it means that Windows is hiding part of the filename from you. Please read (and do the thingsmentioned in) How to Force Windows Explorerto Always Show You the File Extensions so that you can locate the correct file.

In the unlikely situation that you use a version of Windows earlier than Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7, you may need to install one ofthe free archivers from the Free File Archivers andFile Compression Utilities page before you can double-click the zip file to open it. That is, after you install the archiver, just open the "kompozer" folder on your desktop the normal way by double-clicking it. You should now be able to open the folder.Early versions of Windows lacked the ability to open zip files unless you install an archiver that supports it.

Like Dreamweaver, KompoZer includes a dialog box from which you can create CSS style definitions by selecting values for various properties. As of version 0.8b3, this feature is accessed from the main menu by selecting Tools > CSS Editor.
