Dear (new) members,
thank you very much for subscribing to the googlegroup of ECPR SG
Political Economy. As promised, we will keep email traffic low. If you
have, however, interesting news related to ECPR or political-economy
stuff in general, we would gladly like to post it on the website of
the SG (send it to anyone of us). The more we can create interesting
news, the better. Please also help us spreading the word to colleagues
who might find the website and the google group useful.
We would like to raise one issue: The call for sessions at the joint
sessions in Mainz 2013 are come up soon. We were thinking about
proposing a session. Steffie Walter suggested a session on political
and economic consequence of the financial crisis. Silja Haeusserman
also mentioned insider-outsider politics to be an interesting topic.
You are very welcome to post any thoughts on this, willingness to
participate, or alternative ideas.
Two points of clarification: 1) the SG can propose a session/ section
at ECPR events, but its success is not guaranteed. 2) If we end up
with two or more proposals we might have to decide which of the
proposals should be formally endorsed as a SG session/ section, but it
does not mean that we cannot propose more than that.
Best
On behalf of the convenors, Achim Kemmerling
