Hello Edible Campus Program Members!

Good morning everyone! We hope you’re having a great Week 6 this summer! Below are our week’s Cultivating Community Days and our GHGP volunteer day. We would love to see you join us for calm volunteering with some time in nature. We will also be hosting a Macrame Hanging Garden workshop, where participants will make/keep their own FREE planter! Here is a quick rundown of what opportunities are available:

Upcoming Cultivating Community Days

Cultivating Community is a garden volunteer event hosted by the Edible Campus Program that occurs every Sunday from 12 PM- 2 PM at gardens and farms in the IV and UCSB community. No garden experience needed to volunteer with us! :D

Solo and Small Group Volunteering

Are you interested in volunteering with the garden but prefer coming out on your own around your schedule?  We are accepting volunteers every day of the week!  Tasks would be low-key duties like watering or some light weeding.  You'll come out when one of our garden staff is around to ask questions.  Just fill out this form and let us know what days/times work for you: https://forms.gle/iMwRzbghMmpHCVkw7.

Hanging around this summer? Join us for our macramé hanging garden workshop to learn more about indoor gardening and create your own DIY hanging planter to elevate your mood (and your plants)! This is a great opportunity to meet others interested in crafting, growing your own food, and community involvement at one of our local public gardens.
