| 🐛 Join the Garden Buddy Network
Staying around IV this summer? Want to enjoy the wonders of gardening?
Join the Garden Buddy Network! We will connect you with one of the gardens in Isla Vista or on campus you can be their garden buddy! This is a low intensity volunteer program where you will help with watering and weeding. Usually garden buddies volunteer for 1-2 hours at a time when they are free. There are so many benefits to gardening, mentally, physically, and health wise, so don’t miss out on this opportunity to get your hands dirty and help a buddy out!

We've got paid positions open now for students who want to be part of a team that empowers the community to reconnect with their land and their food. 🌿 Position #1: ECP is hiring two Membership Housing Coordinators to support the Storke and West Campus Family Student Housing Gardens starting in Summer 2025 (one role starts in Session A, and the other role starts in Session B). Applicants must live in UCSB campus housing during the 2025-2026 school year. Work-study is not required. | ☀️ Saturday Morning Live Will Be Back on June 28th Saturday Morning Live (SML) is our weekly garden volunteer series where students and community members of all experience levels can learn new skills and explore a different garden in Isla Vista each week. Usually held Saturdays from 11 AM - 1 PM, it's a great way to get involved in the community. You can meet our Volunteer Coordinator at 10:30 AM at the IV Food Co-op to walk over together, or head directly to the garden. With Spring Quarter coming to an end, we are currently taking a short break to prep for summer and will be restarting on June 28. We plan to offer SML every Saturday June 28 - September 6.
