Summer Session B - Week 3

Dear Edible Campus Program Community,

This week, we want to remind you that our IV Garden Clubs are a great way to shape the future of the community by deciding what we grow (and you might even get first pick of the harvest for free!). As always, we also have a bunch of fun workshops taking place this week! Whether you want to learn about gardening at home, or simply want to do some arts and crafts with friends, we've got an event for you this week.

Make sure to follow us on IG at @ucsbecp to stay up to date!

Best,
Elizabeth Lane

Why Join?

While anyone is welcome to harvest fresh produce for free from the blue painted shared beds at St. Michael's and Methodist Community Gardens, Garden Club members play a bigger role -- helping decide what gets planted, caring for the crops, and often getting the first pick of ripe produce. By joining, you'll be supporting local food access, reducing food miles, and practicing climate-friendly agriculture!

✅ Open to all experience levels and ages

✅ Tools are provided -- just bring yourself!

This is a low intensity volunteer program where you will help with watering and weeding. Usually garden buddies volunteer for 1-2 hours at a time when they are free.
