Weld County Practical Shooters 2026 Colorado State Steel Challenge Shooting Association Championship Match, June 5 - 7, 2026

Weld County Practical Shooters is pleased to announce that we will be hosting the 2026 Colorado State Steel Challenge Shooting Association Championship Match June 5 - 7, 2026 at the High Plains Shooting Range, Eaton, CO.

This is a Tier II level match, and you must be a current USPSA/SCSA member to compete.

The match starts a June 5, 2026 @ 8:00 AM and ends June 7, 2026 @ 4:00 PM.

The match will consist of the standard 8 Steel Challenge stages on eight separate berms. You may shoot Friday, Saturday or both days.  A maximum of 2 guns per day. Limited to 120 Shooters per day.

The awards ceremony will follow the optional “Sunday Shoot-Off” which starts at 8:30 AM.  There is an additional $10 buy-in that morning.  100% cash payback plus a random gun drawing.

There will also be a random draw prize table and a per division gun draw (Minimum 10 competitors, smaller divisions may be combined) following the awards ceremony. You must be present to win guns.  A representative may be used for all other prize drawings. Only one trip to the prize table per competitor.

Match fee $115. Ladies/Juniors $75. Youth $55. Additional guns $20 each.

Camping is available with limited electrical service at $15 per day.  Water hook-up and dumping are not available.  Contact Match Director via email for more information and to make reservations. Lunch will only be provided on the day you shoot your first gun; however, a food truck will be onsite to purchase breakfast, lunch, and snacks throughout the match.  Water will be provided in the berms or the covered pavilion.

Hello All,

The below email was sent out to the Section back in January announcing the subject Tier II level Championship match.  Unfortunately, to date competitors have been slow to register.  Planning and providing for the match prize table is solely dependent upon early commitment and registration for those interested in competing in the match.  Currently, there is just under 60 days until we go bang, bang.  If you are interested in testing your Steel Challenge skills, please register as soon as possible.  The Practiscore registration link is in the below announcement email.  If you have any questions, please contact me at the earliest.
