Dear EcoTypes collaborators — You've heard from me over the last few months that the EcoTypes survey is heading in new, exciting directions. We are now gearing up to finalize the new EcoTypes survey, and associated site resources, for 2023-24, and given a current opportunity to translate the survey and site into multiple languages we have initiated these edits, also so that we can test the new survey and site in summer 2023.

So far, there are no changes to the site, but at some point later this month we will offer only the new survey. If your students are planning to take the current survey in later May or June, for instance as a comparison from earlier this term, please consult directly with me on options. Or, if you have other survey/site related needs between now and the end of your current term, please let me know.

For those of you who have used EcoTypes in past, the new EcoTypes survey, survey report, and related resources such as EcoTypes personae may be unfamiliar, so we will provide instructor resources to help you continue to work successfully with EcoTypes in the classroom.

Thank you,

Jim P.

Dear all, I've now completed initial changes to the EcoTypes site, updating it for the new survey. Please let me know if you find errors, broken links, etc...thank you.

I'd urge you to use the new survey and associated resources (all under "Survey [New]" menu header) starting now, but if you need students to do a comparison survey from earlier this term, you can access that survey and associated resources via the "Survey (Early 2023)" menu header.

I have not yet updated the EcoTypes COIL, reflection form, and related advanced resources given the new survey, but will do so this summer. Please be in touch if you plan to use these opportunities. I will update the Instructor FAQ and other instructor resources accordingly once all is in place.

Finally, stay tuned for greater cross-national deployment of EcoTypes effective 2023-24, which should offer your students more opportunities to appreciate, and engage across, difference. We are currently working on page translations to assist this effort.

Wishing you well this summer, and keep in touch as needed. For those of you attending the AESS conference in Portland, we'll bring EcoTypes into a professional development workshop on Wed Jul 12 8:30 - 11:45 am. Hope to see some of you there!

Regards,

Jim P.
