Dear EcoTypes colleagues, I received word from my server host (below) that we will be temporarily down on Thu Mar 10 AM (US Pacific time); I hope this does not result in a disruption to your expected activities involving ecotypes.us.

If you have not already glanced at What's New in '22, please do so! Note that the summary descriptive statistics I shared on that page are for an n = 401 since early January; we now have n > 650, and sometime in June I'll recalculate all factor (EcoTypes theme) weights and cluster (EcoTypes) centroids based on this new dataset—which according to my estimates will change survey scores slightly, but not a lot. I'll also add the three new axes (Animals, Cities, Economies) at that time.

In summer 2022, I hope to start developing the EcoTypes site as a COIL (collaborative online international learning) resource, as per the Focus on Frameworks initiative you can read about on that What's New page. More info to follow!

Wishing you well for spring,

Jim P.

On March 10th, your server will be securely relocated by a member of our data center operations team. Our personnel will stay with your server during the transition to the new facility until server connectivity is fully restored.

You will receive another notification 24 hours before your server is scheduled to be moved. All moves will take place after 11 PM local time (PST) to ensure minimal disruption to your service. You can expect between 2-4 hours of downtime for us to complete this work, though we expect actual downtime will be less for most customers.
