Dear EcoTypes colleagues, hello! I'm writing to invite you to consider participating in the 2025 AESS Conference, to be held Jun 23-25 in St. Paul MN. I've long given EcoTypes workshops at the annual AESS meeting, and this year am considering a session that gives you the opportunity to share how you are applying EcoTypes in your classes. If interested, please respond directly and we can talk, thank you.

For me, I'm thinking how I might more fully apply the "Many Care, Just Differently" consideration in EcoTypes, including but potentially moving beyond the community engagement my students enjoy, and online resources such as EcoTypes personae, SDG Mosaic, etc.

The reason?: I suspect we are moving into another highly challenging year in our country and with our students, as they struggle to navigate the differences they will surely encounter in the renewed Trump administration. Their tendency, understandably, may be to fight, or to withdraw; but how might they constructively engage with others across difference toward environmental progress? It will be hard, but we have an important opportunity, and my hope is that EcoTypes offers some resources toward this opportunity.

Wishing you all a joyful holiday, do be in touch if you need an EcoTypes group code for winter (or spring—lmk which applies to you) 2025, and definitely contact me if interested in joining in on an AESS 2025 session...our initial proposal deadline is Feb 3

Thank you,

Jim P.
