Dear all, hello! We have had a rich 2023-24 academic year via your contributions to EcoTypes, with at present over 3250 survey completions—see data summary.

I'd like to share something I successfully tested with my Intro to Environmental Studies class this spring: a set of in-person community interactions to explore the "Many Care, Just Differently" EcoTypes phrase. Students met with members of three nearby communities, and administered a brief, dialogic version of the EcoTypes survey. Your students may be interested in the outcomes!...a summary is here, and details on student interactions with each community can be found via:
If you are planning to attend this summer's AESS conference, Susan Caplow and I are facilitating a professional development workshop, "Going Deeper with EcoTypes: Navigating Environmental Difference," that will summarize these community interactions, then discuss how we all might pursue, and contribute, similar interactions toward mutual benefit. It will also include the followup reflection form, which offers students a set of "counting" frameworks to navigate the differences they encounter among such communities. Please join us!

Thank you for your continued participation, and be in touch as needed.

Regards,

Jim P.
