trekking with amily august 2015

Hi!

I'm trying too organize a trekking for me and my family (my husband and our three kids age 15/12/7) around the 23rd of august.I have some questions: is it childrenfriendly trekking ?

Is it better to book with some touroperator? If yes would you suggest some? If not we just arrive and book?
