Training and Retreat in Nonviolent
(Compassionate) Communication for Men
Thursday, 29 March 2012 at 17:00 until Saturday, 31 March 2012
at 18:00
Hosted by EcoME Centre, Dead Sea region
Trainer: Shantigarbha (www.SeedofPeace.org)
Following the success of the 9-day residential training over the New
Year, Shantigarbha is returning to EcoME to run a workshop
specifically for Israeli and Palestinian men.
How do we create peace within ourselves, our families, our
communities, and our world? This will be a rare opportunity to
experience openly listening and sharing each other’s difficulties
and joys in ways that bring us into deeper connection with each
other and ourselves, and open up possibilities for new ways of
living together.
Nonviolent (Compassionate) Communication offers a vision, a
consciousness and concrete skills to create relationships and
community where everyone’s needs are valued. At this training we
will work on our communication skills within our own families and
communities and among ourselves. We will gather at the EcoME Centre
on the Almog /Jericho Junction in the Dead Sea region. In this
simple camping set up, we will learn together and create community.
Itamar from the EcoME community will lead an activity in the desert.
We are planning to limit the number of participants to 30 to support
personal connections in the group. The retreat will be in English,
Arabic and Hebrew.
Location: EcoME Centre – Almog /Jericho Junction. Area
accessible to Israelis and Palestinians. Conditions are basic:
participants will need to bring own sleeping bag, towels etc.
Cost: Over 21 years of age: 300-500 NIS (give as you can
afford); Under 21: 100-200 NIS. This will enable us to cover our
expenses and offer scholarships. Please ask us for a scholarship if
you need one to participate.
