Make that 6 BaySHO contributions of $100 – and a bicycle!

SHO friends,

Please forgive me, but I am compelled to present an urgent plea for assistance from the SHO community.

My good friend, Nick Chrimes, has had some tough luck of late and needs our help.  As noted in the below e-mail to BaySHO, his car has been impounded and he doesn’t have the funds to get the car back out of hock, pay up overdue registration fees (which requires proof of insurance),  and renew his driver’s license.  I know many of us are facing tough economic conditions, but for those who can contribute to getting Nick mobile again, you will definitely be rewarded by the SHO gods!  Also, if you’ve ever been helped by Nick’s extensive SHO knowledge (and keen sense of humor) here’s your opportunity to return the favor.

Tonight,  I and four other BaySHO members have kicked in $100 apiece to get the ball rolling. However, any and all contributions will be appreciated.

Assuming Nick doesn’t kill me first for posting this, I’ll provide more info on Friday as to how to contribute tomorrow.  PayPal to my above e-mail address is certainly one option, as I live all of 10 minutes (by car, at least) from Nick.

Thanks for your consideration.

Well, it finally happened. My car got towed today for out of date registration. I haven't had the money to keep it up to date.

$175 towing fee, $196 release fee, $50/day storage, Total $421 day one. I don't have that kind of money. Car gets stored for a maximum of 30 days, then is got rid of, and I would still have to pay all the fees if I want to renew my Drivers License (which is also out of date).

Does anyone have a bicycle I can borrow? I got $1,000 worth of tools out of the trunk and back home. If I had a bike I could at least continue to work out of the shop.

Nick
