Dear Agnes,
if it is tricky to start with a farm in total, maybe you can start (in a first step) with a willing farmer and do some field trial on his fields. We did something similar on the fields of the University of Bonn within our research project here in Germany.
You can find some pictures how that worked for us this year: http://www.flickr.com/photos/gtzecosan/sets/72157624540490811/show/
(This was part of our research and demo project SANIRESCH: www.saniresch.de.)
By the way, the harvest of the wheat took just place in July, so the pics are brand new ones.
Moreover, the EU-funded ROSA project had also really nice demonstration fields. Check this link: http://rosa.boku.ac.at/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=32&Itemid=12
I know that have even much better pictures, but wasn’t able to find them. But I am sure, they can help you out when you approach them directly.
Or check those pictures from Burkina Faso: http://www.flickr.com/photos/gtzecosan/sets/72157608194374776/with/2963781803/
Yours, Martina.
