EcoSanRes: New SEI publication ' Practical Guidance on the Use of Urine in Crop Production' [1 Attachment]

Dear all,

We are glad to announce the launch of the new Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) publication "Practical Guidance on the Use of Urine in Crop Production" during the Stockholm Water Week 2010. This guideline has been produced in a collaborative process within the SuSanA working group 5 on food security and productive sanitation and with SEI as the lead in the authorship. It is a general sourcebook for professionals, extension workers and practitioners in the field of agriculture, water and sanitation and should serve as a support tool for the development of locally adapted guideline versions.

The softcopy version of the guide you will find attached. The printed version will be available from SEI and also directly at the Stockholm World Water Week (at the SEI/SuSanA booth). The guideline will also be available soon from the SuSanA website (www.susana.org) as well as from the EcoSanRes homepage (http://www.ecosanres.org).

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all who contributed to the new guideline version and encourage all to make use of the document and put the recommendations into local practice.
