The stipend does not include relocation costs; I imagine these might

Description
The University of Sydney offers PhD scholarships to work on an
international translation project funded by the Australian Research
Council. A central task of the project is to design and develop
multilingual databases of translations to investigate specialised
translations under the supervision of an international translation
research team.
Eligibility
· Applications are open to domestic and international students.
Applicants should be well qualified academically.
· Native or near native competency in English and in one of the
following languages: French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese,
Spanish, Chinese
· Preference will be given to applicants who have relevant research
background in translation studies with a good understanding of corpus
translation studies.
Highly desirable
Proven fluency in two (or more) languages other than English as listed
above.
Amount Awarded
The scholarship is valued at $25,849 per annum (tax exempt) and may be
renewed for up to three years, subject to satisfactory progress. Please
note that this scholarship does not cover any tuition fees payable by
international students.
