eCommerce can be fun and profitable

According to the ABS there are now around 1.9 million SMEs in
Australia and only 9% have an ecommerce capability and less than 20%
have a web presence. With retail online sales growing at more than 20%
per quarter it is now a great time to get moving on ecommerce safely.

Also for small shops it is not always possible to hold stock for every
item they can get from their supplier, but if you have an online shop
you can offer many more items directly and order them from your
supplier as you need them.

In many cases a customer walks into a shop and can't see what they
want and walks out without even asking about the item. With an online
shop your customer can see everything you can get for him and order
right away! He doesn't need to know you don't have it at hand right
now, all he cares is that he's going to get it soon and hopefully
slightly cheaper than from a street store. Plus if this customer is
not local to your shop, you have just made a new customer who would
not necessarily have been able to go directly to your bricks-and-
mortar shop.
