ERA member, Ali Bin Shahid has been doing a deep dive into the science of cloud seeding and the attempts to control and understand what makes rain fall. In this description of his process, which I just shared in the ERA blog on Medium, the surprising conclusion is that most weather control interventions lack the complex feedback mechanisms that natural ecosystems contain, adjusting the intervention to the unfolding current reality.
