With Climate Week NYC beginning, please share Cooling the Climate by Restoring Water Cycles – Key Resources with anyone who might find it useful.
Dr Katie Ross and I brought this collection together for people already working on climate cooling to share with friends, family and colleagues. It opens with a short introduction and a journey through how soils, vegetation and water cycles help living landscapes regulate temperature. A larger collection of papers, presentations, books and films follows. We hope people will use these resources to create and guide learning journeys.
Here is what we suggest.
First, ask the person how they prefer to learn and receive information. They might enjoy papers, short videos, films, books or another format. Then choose one resource that matches their interests and preferred way of learning.
Once they have explored it, ask what they thought. Was it clear? What would make learning about this easier? As their curiosity grows, share another resource or two. If they’re receptive, share the full collection. Let them know it offers more in their preferred format, plus a smorgasbord of other ways to explore the topic.
As you use the collection, we would also love to learn from your experience. We welcome edits, suggestions and ideas for making it as useful as possible for outreach.
warmest regards
Cindy
