"Ecocivilization Coalition (https://www.ecociv.org/) is a beautiful, essential, and transformative initiative working to:
🐛 Change the Mainstream Narrative 🦋 The dominant worldview tells us that humans are selfish, greedy, and competitive—and separate from the rest of nature. We want to help galvanize people’s moral imagination, and shift the mainstream narrative to concepts, frames, and stories that weave together to form a radically different, life-enhancing system.
🪶 Amplify the Movement for Transformative Change 🌍 Around the world, visionary groups and institutions are reimagining how we can live, learn, govern, and care for one another in life-affirming ways. Many of these are building regional and global networks to implement and spread their ideas. We want to learn how to act as weavers, or in a role as connective tissue, enabling these groups to be more effective together both within and across domains.
🧭 Uplift Ecocivilization Pathfinders 🕸️ "Islands of coherence” already exist throughout the world as grassroots movements and community initiatives, laying down pathways toward a life-affirming future. In time, we want to help these “islands” strengthen and connect together, forming a new “continent of coherence” as the dominant system unravels.
We are people who have come together united in our commitment to co-create a life-affirming, ecologically grounded, deeply democratic world.
We hold a shared understanding that the dominant world order is unraveling—taking with it the illusion of progress that has caused unprecedented inequality, ecological degradation, cultural erasure, and systemic violence.
In its place, we believe that a different world is not only possible, but already exists at the margins and is taking root.
We are devoted to nurturing these shoots.
