YOUR CLIMATE-FRIENDLY BACKYARD

On April 13 at 7:00 PM, join us for a discussion of “Your Climate-Friendly Backyard!

A climate friendly backyard is one that acts as a sponge, absorbing both carbon and water, while providing habitat for bees, butterflies and birds.

This webinar will be of interest to the beginning gardener, because I will show you easy ways to get started and be successful.

It will also be of interest to the experienced gardener, because we frequently work against our climate without knowing it.

Did you know?

  • You can get free wood chips which make great mulch, controlling weeds and conserving moisture, providing your plants and soil with life-giving water.

  • A diverse community of pollinator friendly native plants give life to the soil, so that the soil can in turn give life to your plants, while absorbing monumental amounts of carbon.

  • Great soil is great for the climate, by absorbing and retaining both carbon and water, controlling floods and preventing drought.

Plus, when we learn how our garden works, this informs us in our role as both consumers and citizens, so we will be less likely to fall prey to the misinformation brought to us by the logging industry and Big Ag.

Whether you are a beginner or an experienced gardener, join us and we will talk about the joys of climate-friendly gardening.
