Greetings,

I'm writing to let ERA members know of the passing of Adam Sacks, who played a critical and much-appreciated role in the formation of the EcoRestoration Alliance.

We are all indebted to him, and to Biodiversity for A Livable climate, for seminal and ongoing contributions to the ERA and to the larger movement of which we are a part.

Best wishes to all,

Dear Friends,
It is with deep sorrow that we share the news that Adam Sacks, Biodiversity for a Livable Climate co founder and Executive Director for ten years, has passed away.

We have prepared a statement to go out soon to our full list and the public but we wanted to make sure our close friends heard it first. We each have a few words to share with you.

"Adam’s persistent belief in a new vision and generosity to welcome newcomers shaped Bio4Climate at its roots — his spirit lives on in every act of restoration we undertake.”
Philip Bogdonoff
President, Bio4Climate, Board of Directors

"When I first started to work with Adam, he told me that Bio4Climate is a field catalyst, sparking actions in others. As I got to know him  and to understand Bio4Climate, I realized that Adam himself was the spark, the igniter that sets off the catalyst.
He has brought people together from around the world, uplifted voices that had not been heard and despite the urgency of the climate situation, was determined to share stories of hope and success.
It has been a  deep honor to work with him and carry on his legacy."
Beck Mordini
Executive Director, Bio4Climate

Our community will continue to come together in the coming weeks to honor Adam on our website, in our social media channels and in person. Together we will share our grief and celebrate Adam's life.

Warmly,
Philip and Beck
