Dear friends, sorry to insist, but, only one of you three that I know could counter this… so I pick your brains, but, frankly… I could see this coming when I wrote Biogeotherapy… Solving global warming is not impossible, in fact, it is win-win-win-win-win to the infinite. My experience: I have planted 3 M trees, during 20 tree planting seasons in 5 Canadian provinces. 3 000 000 / 2 000 trees a day (a low average) / 20 seasons = 75 tree planting days per season (a very low estimate over 4 months). As I wrote in Biogeotherapy, Crowther lab. in Zurich shook the world in July 2019 when it announced planting a trillion trees (billion in French, yes confusing), would bring us back to 280 ppm… I remember it, I was sitting in a tree planting camp on the road to James Bay, North West of Quebec, Cree territory by law, La paix des braves. Yes I know we have to find the size of China, yes I know we have to mimic the biodiversity, etc… Still 1 000 000 000 000 / 3 000 000 I planted, is 333 333… tree planters. If you want them to do it in 2 seasons, not 20, that is only 3 M tree planters. If you use electric drones…
Has one of you three have a counter-argument to this 25 minutes video below, and, my tree planting remark? Tree planting is, by the way, only one of 100 biogeotherapy possibilities, with carbon ranching (holistic grazing management), no-till ag. with cover crops, mangrove, … and, yes, microbial fermentation Seba/RethinkX/NavigateX believe in.
If not I might consider retiring faster than I had planned, our job as environmentalists and activists is done. Never-ever thought I would write this. Amitiés,

Free energy because solar has to plan for peak demand, storage can play a role, but a small one, 4-5 days. The rest of the time, 11 months of the year, you have some free energy compare to pre-solar energy production—solar produces all the time, even when you do not need all of it. Seba insists, analysts all make the same mistake, no innovation has a linear adoption curve, it does not exist, never. It is exponential, sometimes logarithmic, but, never-ever linear. I attach Global Market Outlook for Solar Power 2025-2029, it repeats exactly that mistake: "However, meeting the Global Solar Council’s aspirational target of 8 TW by 2030 will require a significantly accelerated pace of deployment – roughly 1 TW of new installations per year on average. » 1 TW is what we will add in 2025 and 2026 (reaching 4 TW total at the end of 2026, from 2 in 2024), than 2 TW in 2027 and 2028, than 4 TW added in 2029. The increase is not 1 TW average!

PS. Quebec has slowed its electricity production in recent years because of the lack of water, droughts. We are 0.65% of world electricity production. Solar radiants are perfectly constant, not water flows… A program on Radio-Canada was predicting serious competition from solar for Hydro-Québec 4 years ago, they were right, it will happen, fast.

Thanks for the introduction to Benoit. Forestry logging waste to biochar is a fabulous idea. We are doing it in a refugee camp in Uganda and producing highest quality biochar for validation and sales on carbon market using pioneer tech for valid measurements of carbon packages. Then we use the biochar in water filters with uV filter, now in prototype and received lab report of zero pathogens esp cholera. Then we spread the biochar on gardens and fields.
