| Moab camp |
Report from camp! by Kristen Lilja of the Diocese of Utah Youth Ministry
We had quite the start to camp this season, as we made ourselves comfortable with the five to six feet of snow occupying camp. With warm clothing, snow boots and positive attitudes, we still managed to train some of the best counselors around!
Our trip camp to Moab, UT was just what we needed after our winter staff training. We set off with eager junior high campers for the great land of red rocks. Our week was truly blessed with beautiful

scenery, river rafting, hiking, games, great people and a breathtaking Eucharist service on the beach.

Third and Fourth Grade camp
|
Happily, we returned to camp to welcome our group of 3rd and 4th graders. We rejoiced as we greeted rocks and dirt (rather than snow) and had a blast building trust and community through fun and fellowship.
Throughout our camps, we have been guided by the Rt. Rev. Scott B. Hayashi, the Rev. Richard Snyder, the Rev. Steve Andersen, the Rev. Jim Tendick and the Rev. Mike Mayor. We have been truly blessed, and look forward to welcoming more clergy as the summer goes on!
Our summer continues with our 5th & 6th grade camp in progress and our 7th & 8th, High School Leadership and Family Camp to look forward to!
