Hello Olivier,

At the moment, no work is being carried out for the Ecopedia.nl
project. What we originally wanted to create was an open source,
community-driven scientific database focused on, but not exclusively
for, environmental datasets. For this purpose, a piece of open source
software called SciBase was developed, but never made it to be quite
functional. Due to lack of time and manpower, the project is in
hibernation at the moment.
However, I might decide to pick up where we left some months ago, and
see where it will lead. Partnering with other (similar) initiatives
seems like desirable to me at the least.
Can you tell me a little bit more about your project, or maybe
redirect me to a page with more information?

Yeah, I would suggest that you connect on www.ekopedia.org The French
version is the most developed... It is a wiki based encyclopedie...

You can also check the English version or surf on our English
partenaire www.Appropedia.org

So we are aiming to collect and spread technical alternatives for a
more sustainable future for human kind...

Dear Olivier,

The initiative of SciBase (currently hosted on ecopedia.nl, I was thinking about the domain open.sc, but somebody took it just before I could register it) is more aiming towards serving as a open data initiative, you can find links to information about this on the website.

This is hugely complex and time-consuming (which I lack at the moment).. but if you're thinking about a Dutch version of your site, I can link the domain to ekopedia.org!

I hope to come back to you soon with more news on the project, because this is where my heart is..!
