First Winter School at Econ School on December 15th and 17th

Dear everyone,

We are planning the First Winter School at Econ School in December.

• Dates are 15th December (Friday) and 17th December (Sunday)

• The timings will be from 10 AM to 4 PM on both days.

• Venue will be YWCA of Delhi, Ashoka Road, Delhi.

• The event will be in hybrid mode, giving you the option to attend the program in person or online.

• Event includes the following talks (and more to be included):

  • Timing of the tie-breaker

  • Secretary Problem with competition

• The event also includes a lecture on Refinements of the Nash equilibrium solution concept. Reference is https://link.springer.com/book/10.1007/978-3-642-49970-8

• On the second day, there will be some fun game experiments, such as the Swap-Retain Game, the Bayesian Version of the Battle of Sexes, Monty Hall Game and payoffs will be in monetary terms. Participants can also engage in auctions to win some money.

• Additionally, there is an event called 'Kaun Banega Econscholar' on the second day, where you also have the chance to win prizes.

• Registration Fee is INR 1500/- (plus 18% GST) There is no separate fee to participate in any of the games and experiments. This fee includes everything. We'll share the registration link soon.

Thanks. The only prerequisite is an understanding of probability and game theory, covered at the undergraduate level in any standard program.
