My comment:

My understanding is that this comes from a society designed to support dark triad dynamics. I have the impression that people who take power gain pleasure from being sadistic and tend to have dark triad traits and shaped systems and protocols with dark triad dynamics. They abuse of the care people want to provide, and they feel shame which they project on those that are useful to society, effectively creating a generalized framework of moral harassment towards people who contribute. Similar dynamics seem to have in companies, where people who contribute by asking questions tend to be pulled down. We are in a system designed by unhealthy coping and manipulated by dark triad dynamics and personalities.
