Bob's #ovni / Open Value Networks with Sensorica as Mikorizal
Hello to everybody.
Recently we acquired the book Model-Driven Design Using Business Patterns by Pavel Hruby and tried to create sample application for Joe's Pizzeria in Java Spring technology. Application deals with sale exchange process and in addition shows the implementation of Identification Pattern in Spring aspect-oriented environment. Source code and instructions for trying the app, for anyone that is interested, can be found on url:
https://github.com/almirpehratovic/REA
Any comment or feedback is very welcomed :)

Thank you Bob.
The main focus of this example is proper understanding of REA and Pavel's business patterns (including aspect-oriented patterns). This should be visible in source code or design of the app, but not in UI of the app.
I will try to post few pictures of UI tomorrow.
We are small IT company with the name 'Ocean', from Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina. We are developing complete business software solutions and we are seriously considering REA as main business model in future versions of our apps (instead of classic accounting which we are using currently).

Thank you Bob.
As I said before, example was made for the purpose of proper understanding of REA and business patterns and it should prove useful for anyone who is starting to learn this model and do not know where to start, in the terms of practical application.
UI is therefore irrelevant, but here are few pictures:

I would be very thankful if you could point to some open source projects that are using REA as their base.

I did, in the signature of my first response in this thread, but maybe
it was not clear what I was doing. Here again, more explicitly, are
three projects that I am involved in, that are open source and based
on REA (but not on Pavel's excellent book: we started designing our
REA models before that came out):
https://github.com/valnet/valuenetwork
http://www.locecon.org/
https://github.com/openvocab/ovn
I think others exist, but do not know what or where they are. Which is
why I am glad to see yours.

Almir,
I am not sure if this helps. Tod Sedbrook and I published an article on a semantic web implementation of REA at the policy level. Tod did the semantic web portion and I did the REA part. I will send it to your and anyone else who is interested. It appeared in Journal of Information Systems in 2010, which was a special edition for REA articles. I also have some basic REA Access databases that I can send you. I developed for my textbook, “Building Accounting Systems Using Access.” The databases are for education purposes. They are not intended for actual implementation.

I saw that. I'll dig deeper and see how I might be able to contribute.
