There is a Dimond merchants meeting this Thurs, it would be great to have a couple folks from DIA and 22x ED in attendance. I should be able to make it, let me know if you can join. This should be a good opportunity to share our support and discuss partnerships for growth and desired change for the district.

Happy New Year Dimond Merchants,

The Dimond Business & Professional Association would like to help start this New Year off with lots of optimism and creative ideas to help boost our business and continue to revitalize our district during these hard economic times.  We like to invite you to attend a DB & PA meeting at the Dimond Library, 3565 Fruitvale Ave. 2nd Fl. Thurs, Jan. 22, 6:30p-8:30p. 

 

Shari Godinez, from the Oakland Leadership Merchants Forum will give us an update on activities happening at OLMF.  We'll also discuss possible funds available from the City of Oakland's Merchant Assistance program.  Other topics on the agenda include marketing, door knob campaign, more focus on highlighting merchant of the month in a DB & PA newsletter, kiosk & website (in collaboration with the Dimond Improvement Association) and updating a district packet to attact potential new businesses.  We'll also have blight flyers on hand to review and help remind us and our neighbors about the responsibility we have to keep the district looking good.
