Just in case you haven’t heard, Network, a peace and justice oriented lobby group primarily of women religious, has organized a multi state bus tour to promote adequate funding for programs that serve the poor, countering the Ryan proposed budget.

 

Here is their schedule in Pittsburgh from Sr. Mary Traupman.  Anything you can do to be present or to talk up the tour would be most appreciated.

Press conference in the area of the office of Congressman Tim Murphy, Mt. Lebanon .

Subject: economy and how the poor are adversely affected by the government ' s budget

Public welcome.

 

7:30 p.m.

Friend Raising in the Providence Heights auditorium, 9000 Babcock Blve.

Subject of gathering: current state of our national economy and the proposed budget and its impact on the poor.

All interested persons are welcome to discuss issues of the economy and how the poor are adversely affected, and to share ideas about what we can do about it.
