Dear friends,

 

     On Sunday, March 18, the anniversary of the U.S. invasion of Iraq, several antiwar and peace groups will hold a forum on the expanding U.S. and NATO-led wars. Despite the government’s claims that the war in Iraq is over, military bases and 1000’s of military contractors remain, and the U.S. and NATO continue to expand their wars and occupations through the Middle East and Africa, at the expense of more and more social programs like mass transit and schools being shut down here at home. We will also discuss NATO and the G8 austerity program and the national mobilization against them in Chicago in May. We will be taking vans from Pgh to that protest.
