Introduction

My name is Effiezal. A PhD student at University of Auckland, New
Zealand. I might need some help with regards to econometrics issues.
For a start, (if doable) I will post my working paper as soon as it is
available.

if u think so .. then i believe u r getting the 'idea' of the group
wrong .... if somebody needs any help .... it should be more than
welcome.

if somebody only want to discuss... not help .. then whts the point
anyway?

i dont think this is a help group
think, you can get help from everywhere, from your classmates,
colleauges, teaCHERS..
teachers, why do they exist?
and the most important source of help, books and written documents...

but discussion is something different than help
" i have this data, i want to do this and that, please manipulate
them..."

As the admin of the group I should clearify the things; of course this a
help group as all groups are supposed to be. So if you dont want to help a
friend you can unsubscribe.

Hi

THank you for clarifying things. It is not that I don't ask my
lecturers, but let me tell you a bit of my situation. I am based in
the department of Accounting and Finance. The accounting lecturers
hardly have had any problems in econometrics issues, as at most they
will only run OLS.

Then in the finance department: I CANNOT ask any of the lecturers as
it will create a lot of problem btw me and my supervisors. My
supervisors are new to the department, and they do not want their
students to go around and ask people questions. This will tarnish
their reputation (they said that to me!). One of my supervisors is an
econometrics expert, and he expect TOO much from me. He wants me to
learn VAR,GMM which I have no idea what it is. At most, I know how to
run 3SLS and 2SLS.

That is why I subscribe to this group. It is not that I don't ask for
help, but due to some political issues created by my superivsors, I
have to asked someone else, through this group.

Dear all

It is unhealthy to argue like this. If someone needs help ,those who
are able would be ready to help.
Afterall knowledge is there to share. By helping or hearing from Mr
Effiezal Aswadi Abdul Wahab will help us to learn more.
Moreover it will make our group more lively. So I request Mr Effiezal
to post your working papers and issues.

Discussion on such issues will definitly will increase our
understaning. Don't forget that untill now we couldn't discuss any
particular issues in this group.
