Dear GLCA Colleagues

This is an invitation to any GLCA economics or business faculty interested in creating and deploying technology for liberal arts based introductory economics classes.

A core group of six faculty from Earlham, Wooster, Oberlin, Wabash and Kenyon will meet for EconEdTech II in Columbus, OH from Thursday July 31 (starting around 10 a.m) to - Saturday August 2nd (around 4 p.m.). The GLCA  will reimburse meals, accommodation and transportation. If you would like to join us, please do.  It’s not too late.  No prior technology experience is necessary - just a willingness to learn and implement these technologies to improve liberal learning outcomes in principles of economics courses. We hope to collaborate in figuring out what kinds of resources are useful, and ways to develop and make them accessible to anyone interested in using these technologies.

We will be meeting at  The Westin Columbus. A short walk from German Village, it is known as The Great Southern Hotel since its grand beginnings in 1897.

If you want to join the core working group by attending this workshop, please email Amyaz Moledina to indicate your interest . He will be in touch with additional details. A very preliminary agenda is attached.

Cheers,

Raja and Amyaz
