The Program Officer shall be responsible for collecting, organizing and analyzing data in relation to project activities and comparing the data to project indicators to measure its effectiveness.
Following is the Job detail:
• Monitoring data quality, tracking the progress of activities, and contributing to staff capacity building initiatives as necessary
• Analysis of qualitative data
• Documentation of cases/stories, achievements and challenges in implementation of projects for internal learning and donors
• Developing qualitative and quantitative tools related to the conceptualized studies
• Providing ongoing coaching/support to ensure accurate use of the monitoring systems, quality control and problem solving as needed
• Ensuring that donor, partner, and senior management data queries are addressed in an accurate and timely manner
• Program monitoring and evaluations
• Managing the information-gathering process for results and performance reports, in addition to other briefings, summaries, papers, presentations, etc. for various audiences as needed
• Building capacities of project/program staff on ways to properly document, organize and capture program progress
• Reviewing donor reports to ensure high quality reports are submitted on time for all programs
• Establishing log frames, M&E work plans, and targets during the drafting donor project proposals as well as throughout project implementation
Required Qualifications and Attributes
• Post Graduate degree in Social Science - Economics, Statistics or a related field
• About two years’ experience in design and implementation of M&E frameworks
• Proficiency in writing technical and programmatic documents such as reports and papers
• Proven expertise in qualitative evaluation
• Knowledge of qualitative software such as Nvivo, Atlas Ti or similar software
• Knowledge of quantitative software such as STATA, IBM SPSS or similar software
• Proficient in Microsoft Office or similar software and database systems
• Willingness for travel
• Excellent comprehension of written and spoken English and Hindi
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated commitment to the poor and vulnerable sections of society
• Effective organizer and planner with rigorous attention to detail
• Willingness to learn
• Ability to adapt to the changing environment of a growing organization
• Commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering results under pressure
Remuneration: Commensurate with candidate’s experience and profile.
