Hi Kevin,

I haven't looked at the problem in detail yet, but a quick read sounds
very similar to the Beef Demand homework we did in class. I'll do it
later tonight or tomorrow, i let you know.

He will be saying a word or two in the end of today's class, nothing important yet

Hi Savita,

Following are some takeaways on the exam today:

  • The chapters covered in the exam are 2,3,4,6,7,8.
  • We'll have to do a regression and forecasting on the school provided laptop. You will need your novell id and password for that.
  • Also, please bring a mouse, just in case you find the touch pad inconvenient
  • I remember him saying, the regression will be linear and log linear, but I want somebody to correct me, if I am wrong.

Don't remember anything else. Get well soon!

Forecasting Demand for Bus Rides in Iowa City was a real final exam
question from last fall quarter.

It's the "rider" file under excel_data_files folder.

True, it is not in the latest set of files under ERES. However, since I took the excel files in Jan, I have a copy of it. Attached is the rider file.

Weird, when I downloaded the entire set earlier in the quarter, it was there.  See the file attached!

Could this be an indication that the same problem will fall in the final?  I haven't done this problem yet, but I guess it's worth doing it, just in case he removed to include it in the exam again!  :)
