Hey! Here are some notes on what we discussed yesterday in class. Feel free to add any additional information that I missed!
Risks:
decrease in gifts
since there is a decrease in student enrollment, this will lead to a smaller pool of future donors
Opportunities:
focus on the library (increase student work hours, cut librarian hours)
"peer effect"
increase out of state and international student attendance (positive correlation with revenue)
increase social media marketing
increase student-alumni networking
Additional potential ideas:
Decrease library operation hours
Decrease book store hours
increase tuition
decrease the amount of aid given to individual students in order to provide smaller amounts to more students
increase recruitment for out of state and international students
increase price of gym membership (emphasize future growth in gym-- build rock wall, etc.)
increase sports ticket prices
increase athletic recruitment
clinics/camps for local students run by student athletes
