The Arts of Living with Nature is an on-line symposium hosted by the Research Institute for Humanity and Nature, the sole national research institute in Japan taking a cultural approach to the study of nature, environment, and environmental problems.

This year's international symposium focuses on the arts, broadly conceived as creative action, in East and West. The program includes several sessions on human and non-human realms of creative agency, and includes presentations from a range of scholars, artists, educators, curators, traditional gardeners and landscape managers.
