Hear the Commons! on Earth Day

You are invited to Hear the Commons!
An online field recording listening session, facilitated by the Sound Commons Project. This is an informal 'test run' for more regular gatherings, and we'd love to have you there.
This gathering is a thoughtful and supportive space to listen collectively: it is open to all.
We are pleased to announce that the first session will take place at 18:00 (UTC+1) on Tuesday, 22nd April—Earth Day.
To mark our Earth Day launch, we invite everyone to explore the theme: non-human sound. For the first session, we would love to hear your field recordings that reflect our relationship with the non-human world. We welcome your interpretation of this, and will consider each recording in light of the theme and aims of the project.
If you’d like to present a recording, we ask that you send the following to soundc...@gmail.com:
- A field recording of up to five minutes (.wav file)
- A brief description of your recording–including where it was taken, what it means to you, and any other context that you would like to share (150 words max)
- A short bio (50 words max)
We kindly ask you to send the above information by Saturday, 19 April 2025, 23:59 (UTC+1).
