Hi all,

Thanks to Saleem Ali for getting my attention for this group. Just wanted to share this paper that we published in 2023 where we challenge the common narrative that the energy transitions will require more mining:

It will require different mining than the current fossil based system, mining in different locations and mining with different impacts but NOT more extraction of materials from the lithosphere. Actually quite the opposite, it will require much less mining (depending on CE efficiency).
