Dear friends,

As of my last email on August 11th I announced that $1174 was still needed for the pit latrine we are currently building. In response to that email and my Facebook post we received special donations of $100, $100, $100, $100, $20, $13.50, and $170---Thanks be to God. When added to the recurring donations I was able to send all the funds needed for the pit latrine on August 23 except for $200. Here is just one photo showing our latest progress:

Fr. Stephen says that, with the pit latrine installed, he will be able to move himself and his family to the school in order to better guide the school and agricultural projects this fall.

Next we would like by God’s grace to install a rainwater harvesting tank next to the small house where the Lunagula family will live made from ISSB bricks (Interlocking Stabilized Soil Bricks). The the total cost of the system will be about $1020 at the current exchange rate. See the budget below:

Please donate generously for the rainwater capturing tank. It will provide water for bathing and watering plants around the little house where the Lunagula family will soon be living. Donate via PayPal at EcoMercy.org or at Facebook.com/ecomercy.org. (It’s my hope that we can later build a larger house for Fr. Stephen and then this house will be the guest house. But before we do that there are many farm/agricultural needs to attend to.)

A blessed day to you,
Martin
