Dear friends,

1400 plus people have been invited to our new fundraiser. I’m very grateful to the four people who have donated so far. Here’s the link:

Why should you donate? Consider Matthew 20:25: "But Jesus called them to him and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them.” There’s a lot of people that are recognizing how much our post-Christian, technocratic, politically agitated society is "lording it over" regular people. This occurs in more subtle ways than what occurred in the Roman empire. We don’t see people up on crosses, but we see that some ideas are cancelled, whereas other politically correct ideas are celebrated.

One of the ideas that’s celebrated is sending people to Mars. Elon Musk says, “We can’t spend all our time on problems. We have to do something that inspires us.” That’s a true statement. But the question is, what are we going to do? Then other people try to fight back against this idea by saying that there are helpless people in Africa, who we ought to be feeding instead with that money:

But now look at this next photo. Do these people look helpless? No. They are not helpless! Two wrongs don’t make a right. Falsely portraying African’s as helpless, needing to be rescued, doesn’t help. But does this mean there is no urgency to advance the Kingdom of God?

At EcoMercy we believe you don’t have to be helpless to be worthy of help. We have a positive message of freedom and sufficiency in Christ that lifts up Africans and also those who donate to this ministry.

Again, please donate to our fundraiser and share the fundraiser. Don’t give to any ministry out of guilt. Give because you support our message.

A blessed day to you,
Martin
