FW: Sustainability Committee 1st Meeting - 9/21

Dear past Eco Logic members and Mission/District members on my pro-sustainability email list (about 30 of you on the Bcc…list).
As you can see from Theresa’s email below our first meeting of the year is coming up on Wed. 9/21. We were formally approved by GAP to be an official committee of Mission College under GAP. Theresa, Jean, Kurt, Mike, Salaam, Scott, Jackie and I were the original core of this committee that we started a couple of years ago.
We would like to invite all of you that are interested in participating to join us on Sept. 21. We definitely would like to have some students be a part of our committee too. Those of you in the Eco Logic Google group please pass this invitation on to any other students you think might be interested ( I don’t have a list of who is part of this email group now) and join us if you can.
The core members are a small but determined group and we welcome all others who share our commitment and interest. If you are not able to come because of other commitments at that time (i.e. class, work, etc.) and you still want to get information please send a note to Theresa Tran so we can make sure you are on our mail list.

Hi everyone,
It’s another academic year, but this one is a little better because our team is finally OFFICIAL!!! There will be much work to do, and Bob gave me a binder from GAP to review that includes our new guidelines and proposed activities. Going over this information as a group will be the crux of our first meeting, as we need to decide on the activities we want to cover this year. I have a feeling it will be a very busy year for us! To that end, I hope you are all still committed to this group, and if you know anyone who is interested in joining, please invite them! We need a lot of help!!!
See you at our first meeting on Weds. 9/21 from 1 pm – 2:30 pm in SE3-104. We are listed as having meetings on the second Wednesday of every month, but since this is the start of the semester, we normally make the first meeting to be the third Wednesday. The rest will remain as the second Wednesday. Please note these other times in your calendar:
- Weds. 10/12, 1 pm – 2:30 pm, Rm. SE3-104
- Weds. 11/9, 1 pm – 2:30 pm, Rm. SE3-104
- Weds. 12/14, 1 pm – 2:30 pm, Rm. SE3-104
Last but not least, I would like to welcome Dean of Student Support Dan Sanidad to the Sustainability Committee. Nice to have you, Dan!
