Union of Concerned Scientists - Got Science?

Dear Bob,

I read a lot. I pay attention to the news. And, sometimes, I think I've heard just about everything when it comes to global warming.Take the Quiz and get a sticker!

How about you? Think you've heard it all? Now’s your chance to prove it.

Back by popular demand, we've added new quotes about global warming to our Got Science or Not Science quiz. Pit your knowledge of climate change against public officials, media personalities, and political hacks and you'll not only prove that you can tell science fact from science fiction, but you'll also get a free “Got Science?” sticker.

All you need to do is take a look at the latest—and most striking—quotes about global warming making the rounds and decide if they "got science" or they're "not science." Like this one:

The planet used to be dramatically warmer when we had dinosaurs and no people. To the best of my knowledge the dinosaurs weren't driving cars.

The answer to this question isn't the part that's the most disturbing. Really, the most disturbing part is that this is a real quote by a notable person. Unfortunately, the speaker isn't alone.

Take the quiz, get the sticker The Union of Concerned Scientists has been keeping a close eye on what public personalities are saying on the airwaves about global warming. And we've come to the sad conclusion that in too many cases, there's something missing: SCIENCE. You don't need to take my word for it, see exactly what I mean when you take the quiz.

Frankly, it's pretty outrageous that the airwaves are still rampant with global warming deniers who will stop at nothing to mislead the public. So, that's why the Union of Concerned Scientists is fighting back with the truth. And, just by testing your global warming smarts, you'll be helping too (and you'll even get a free "Got Science?" sticker).

Thank you for standing with the Union of Concerned Scientists to help restore science to the national conversation about global warming.

Sincerely,
Chrissy Elles
