Join us for another episode of Applying 4DEE in the Classroom with 4DEE scholar Melody Basham!

Critical pedagogy of place or (CPP) (as proposed by David A. Gruenewald) merges place-based education with social justice and environmental sustainability. This water cooler chat will explore how as educators we might integrate a “critical pedagogy of place” and to show how ecology, applied anthropology, and critical theories in education can intersect to promote transformational awareness based on student’s own observations in their local communities. Results of a recent pilot will also be shared.
