Good morning,
My name is Gabe Mendez; I am a doctoral researcher at Cornell University focusing on sustainability and renewable energy education. I am part of a research team working on an NSF-funded project focused on learning how faculty navigate curricular and pedagogical change. We are reaching out because we are hoping to learn from the faculty members in ecology and/or in the Ecological Society of America.
We thought about ESA because of its unique mission that emphasizes supporting and educating ecologists to respond creatively to continuous change in our natural and social environments.
The study involves a short online survey designed to capture faculty experiences with instructional change. Responses will be used to learn about the motivations for as well as the supports and barriers to change and to improve the survey instrument (e.g., question clarity and overall flow). This study is not evaluative in any way, and responses will not be used to assess individuals, teaching practices, departments, or institutions.
The survey takes approximately 15–20 minutes to complete, and participation is entirely voluntary. Even a small number of responses would be highly valuable to our research.
The study description and survey link are included below.

If you have any questions, please let me know.
Thanks in advance for your time and support!
