All,
Does anyone teach ecology at a university in the US Northeast? The Center for Ecological Teaching and Learning (CETL) is an incredible field research station on the coast of Cobscook Bay, Maine. I'm writing to you about CETL as today they announced a free two-day stay for any university professor and their families this summer. You will need to book before May 1st. See link to their announcement here:
This boreal ecosystem with spruce-fir forests, rocky intertidal, and salt marshes is a true ecological wonderland. I have been involved with CETL as a visiting researcher for some time and the folks who run it are the nicest you'll ever meet. Recently they have completely renovated their cabins, dining hall, and teaching lab. It's an absolute gem of a place to bring ecology students on field trips!
Best,
Austin Menzmer
